Summary: Excellent case for your ipod, almost perfect
Comment: I was surprised how hard it was to find a case for my ipod Classic. There are so many models of ipod that you really have to be careful you are buying the right one. I found the research the least fun part of the experience.
That said, I got this black plastic case for my black ipod and I am happy with my purchase. It is very sleek looking and the little reflectiveness in the black plastic is a nice touch. It does a good job keeping the dust and dirt out because every part of the ipod is protected by this snap-on style case. The case is thin and sleek and its hard to tell you have a cover on the case. The click wheel is covered by a thinner plastic cover which still sensitive enough that navigation is very easy. The back of the case is clear, which I like. You can still admire the shiny silver back of the ipod and read the serial number if you need to. The dock connector still is very easily accessible with the case on. Ive never needed to take it out of the case since I put it on.
There are a few minor drawbacks that are really just a matter of taste. In retrospect, I would have preferred a slip-in leather/suede type of case like I used to have because they it is softer and therefore might do a better job of shock absorption than a hard plastic case. I also think a clip on the back would be nice in case you want to clip it in your pocket for extra security. Finally, I have noticed after a couple of months travelling around in the bottom of my purse, minor scratches do appear. Only a very minor cosmetic thing which can be expected, and of course it doesnt affect the case itself. Overall a very good case at a reasonable price and I would highly recommend it.
