Summary: Sound quality worth the ear pain
Comment: I'll admit at first I couldn't keep them in my ear and they hurt but with patience i got used to them. They no longer fall out or hurt unless I wear them all day-which is bad for the ears anyway. The sound quality is the best I have heard. After comparing these with earbuds I noticed less background noise and a naturally higher volume. So I did not have to raise the volume on the player as much to reach the same volume using earbuds. I have replaced them twice with the same and after trying SHE592 and SHE591 models I suggest only purchasing this model (SHE5910).

Summary: Midrange is OK...Lacks Base and Tremble
Comment: These earphones doesn't meet the basic requirements. Lacks Base and Highs.
Only midrange is better to some extent. I suggest not to buy this product...ITS BAD. Sorry Philips...

Summary: Sonically transparent, too much bass, a bit too large
Comment: These ear buds are okay if you're listening to a device with equalization settings in a completely silent room. Other than that, they're terrible. In an effort to meet (mostly kids') demand for "more bass," the bass response on these ear buds is ridiculously boomy and strong.

The biggest problem is that the buds are almost entirely sonically transparent, which means that when you put them in your ears, you can hear the outside world as easily as if you didn't have them in. If you want to listen to anything closely while on a train, on a plane, near cars driving by, or even near people talking, you'll have to turn the volume up to sometimes painfully loud levels. Generally, the only reason one uses ear buds instead of ear phones is because they're more portable, which means they're going to be used in environments where the user can't control external noise. So for the majority of uses, these are completely worthless.

The buds come with two sizes of rubber ear inserts. The "small" ones are pre-installed, and are close in size to the "medium" size on some ear buds I've seen that come with three sets. In my ears, they're almost too large. They fit okay, but they'd be more comfortable if they were a hair smaller.

Summary: Can't beat them for this price
Comment: These are the only earbuds I've ever bought that have actually stayed in my ear the entire time, no matter how active I am. They are extremely comfortable. Plus, the audio quality simply can't be beat for earbuds at this price level.

My only complaint is that they seem to be prone to getting tangled, but that's probably a function of my own incompetence rather than a design flaw.

Summary: Very Good Sound; fall out of ear; no tip replacements available
Comment: Relatively inexpensive, ~$15. I find they have very good sound. They come with 2 sets of silicone adapters. One set is HUGE, the other still big. I'm a six foot tall man and they loosen from the ear canal when walking. Kids, like my son, will loose the silicone tips and then there's no replacement available, rendering them useless. If it weren't for excellent sound quality, I'd have given them 1 Star.
