Summary: Awful and not worth buying
Comment: I bought this product about 4 months ago. It worked fine for the first month but after a while I would turn it on and then it would stop. Just right in the middle of the player starting up! The screen paused and it wouldn't even turn off until it was plugged into a computer.

Another thing I noticed was It would change the titles, artists, or albums on it. It would say something like the song was called "Justin Timeberlake" by Purple Haze, from the album "Billie Piper" It makes browsing through music very irritating. On occasion all of the text in the player would be in Japanese! I would have to delete everything and drag it back into the player.

I also had the problem with the player randomly turning off when it was still charged.

Comment: I have done the MP3 CD players, a El cheapo no name flash based player, but this unit just flat out is awesome!
First things first, and this may seem trivial BUT this unit has a rechargeable battery, saving you some serious money on constant replacements, not to mention it has run mine for well over 10 hours. (It's rated at 15)But as the small print says "your results may vary"
Anyways... Yes it IS a darned good Mp3 player and a fairly decent FM radio as well.
Period.
Add to this it will accept a MICRO SD flash card and I do not have to tell you how many tunes you can stuff into this tiny player. I have a 2 gig card so one could easily never hear the same song twice driving across the USA.
SanDisk builds quality stuff, and this unit is right up there with the best of the best.
Pluses
1)The display is just right and it does read Id3 tags
2) When it is laying on its side it does so at a slight angle making for easy viewing.
3) The controls are fairly intuitive, I love that part almost as much as the sound quality that happens to be just short of perfect.
I have two cons for this
1) It does not have a clock
2) It has a lanyard attachment to the CAP over the USB plug, weird because if you did manage to somehow pull the unit away from the cap, you would lose the unit but still have the cap attached to you, but in fairness it does take a decided tug to get the two apart.

Conclusion: BUY IT! You will not find a better, smaller, easy to use Mp3 player.

Summary: Good player for under $30
Comment: I bought the 1-gig player and three 2-gig micro SD cards.
That is a lot of songs. It has more volume than my last player.
NOTE with a card in the slot you will need to hold the center button for up to a minute maybe two in order for it to boot up.
Wait until you get a display that says:Refresh Database Do Not remove SD.

Summary: Great When it Works
Comment: Bought it about six months ago. $30, great deal! It definitely has its idiosyncrasies, but I was able to get around most of them. I used it mainly for listening to netcasts, shows which run anywhere from 15 minutes to over three hours. After a short while, some of the buttons just stopped working. For instance, the fast-forward button refused to respond, so I would have to use the fast-reverse if I wanted to go back to the 1:04 minute mark of a 3:00 podcast. It was a slow process, but hey, I paid $30 for it! It gradually got worse. The buttons became more unresponsive, it would freeze up sometimes, and I would have to perform a hard reset. The hard reset worked several times, but finally, after 6 months, the thing just stopped completely. I guess I got my money's worth out of it? 30 bucks for 6 months of use? It is a good little mp3 player when it is working. If you want a cheap little player that you won't miss that much if you lose it, well......this might be a good deal for you, or the Sansa Clip, the one I'm using now, which was 40 bucks. One issue that both Sansas seem to have is that sometimes a track will be on the mp3 player, but not show up on the list of songs on the device when you plug it in to your computer, thus leaving you with no way to delete the file from the player!? These take up space on the mp3 player, and may eventually leave you with very little free space over time. But hey, these Sansas are cheap, and they do work, so I would probably buy one again.

Comment: The product is ok but it came with no directions which has made it difficult to use. I wanted to use the recorder but half the time I cannot figure it out and when I do it is by accident.
