Summary: Watch the wire!
Comment: I bought one of these last year and it was great, little or no static or interference. This one transmits especially well. You can't go wrong for [...].
One major problem with it is the wire. Be careful with it!
When you connect it to your power outlet be careful not to pinch or pull on the wire especially if your power outlet is recessed in the dashboard. It'll become detached and you'll end up having one channel go out. You can play with it and have both channels work but eventually it'll fail totally.
Also the wire protrudes out of the left side of the unit. If you want to keep your player in your lap while driving ok but if you keep it anywhere else this will cause the wire to become pinched.
A good idea with this unit would be to plug it in vertically or sideways or even upside down so as not to pinch or pull on the wire. Make sure there's no tension on it. The looser the better. It'll last longer that way.
I really like this transmitter and bought another after my first one suffered the pinched wire fate after a year.
I'd encourage anyone to try this out,it's a good one.
JUST DON'T PINCH OR PULL ON THE WIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Making Adjustments
Comment: Hello, a few pointers:

1) Wirelles transmition will always have a poorer quality than cable connections
2) None of the wireless transmitters out there in the market will be sustancially different than this one
3) You can do several things if you've bought a wirelles transmitter to improve transmition:

- You can unplug your antenna (this will diminish the reception of
radio frecuencies and will improve the transmition of your
FM transmitter.

- You can connect a cable from your antenna output directly to the
FM transmitter, wrapping it around (This will improve drastically
the reception) and you can hide the cable by passing it inside the
console of your vehicle.

- Dont worry about the radio now, if it true that the reception will
dimish due to the antenna unplug; the reception will still be more
than ok. (this will not affect you if you are in the city as the
radio frecuencies are quite good.)

- If indeed your radio reception is bad, you can always plug a serious
of other radio devices, such as your cell phone, or other
conventional radio devices wich are pretty cheap. The only thing
that has to be a 3.5mm input (such as the ipod input)

4) Dont buy this product if you spend most of your time in the city, as it will simply wont work because of all the frecuencies jamming all the stations. If you are in the country where there are not as radio frecuencies as in the city it can actually work without adjustments.

Summary: Better than any other I've tried
Comment: I had tried out other FM transmitters in the same price range and found that they all could barely put out a signal. I would either get straight static or just so much interference that I couldn't listen to it. However THIS FM transmitter provides sound with NO static and NO interference. I was really impressed!

Summary: Works well.
Comment: I find this useful in the area northwest of Boston and southern New Hampshire. I have been able to define two channels which cover my needs.

Adjacent station rejection is much better than an other unit which I bought and returned at a local store.

Makes listening to audio books on tape much more pleasant.

Summary: what a waste of money
Comment: I bought this product to use with my Walkman MP3 player. It worked all of twice. Now, when I plug it in to my cigarette lighter, auxilliary jack, it makes a loud tone and turns itself off. So I learned a $35 lesson. I was going to buy a pricier transmitter and thought I would save myself some money because I trusted the other reviews. I would definitely pass this item up and fork out the bucks for something with a more trusted name. By the way, I wouldn't have given it any stars but the site forced me to give it one.
