New Super Mario Bros. for the DS lets you play an updated version of the classic Super Mario Bros. world, with all-new moves taken from other hit Mario games. When Mario and Princess Peach are taking a walk, a bolt of lightning hits Mushroom Castle. Mario goes off to investigate, but he returns Bowser has kidnapped Peach! He'll track down Bowser on the classic, original Super Mario Bros. map with all the moves he's picked up in the other games. Throw turtle shells, butt-stomp to crack open floors -- you can even use the tanooki suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. Use the DS dual screen to see where you are on a map & play fun minigames. Also includes a two-player mode where Mario and Luigi race and compete for coins.

Customer Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC GAME FOR KIDS Comment: This is a great re-make of the original Super Mario Brothers. It is mostly the same as the original except it has improved graphics and some slight changes. I loved this game as a kid and my kids love it now. I think most kids will enjoy playing it very much. There are so many different levels that it will take them some time to beat the game. It is nice also being on the DS since it is portable. Kids could play it on the bus on the way to and from school. Or when you go on a road trip to give them something to do. I absolutely give it five stars and this is a must have in my opinion.
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed. Comment: I found many of the worlds to be a lot harder than the castles. And once I figured out that big Mario beat Bowser in one fell swoop, I lost all interest in the game. I didn't stick along long enough to finish the game. If you like the challage of Super Mario Brothers 3, don't buy this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excelent game Comment: Mario is the only reason why my kids want a DS over the PSP... they are happy with this game.
Customer Rating: Summary: A Great Game Comment: I am a big DS fan and I love this game. First off, it is a fun gameplay with lots of levels and eight worlds. It also includes a bazillion minigames. Next it allows for all the mini games to be multiplayer and it has a special mode which allows for fun capture the star, all which can be done using one card! The only drawback is limited saving(only at castles and towers) But I jave found that if you get 5 stars and buy a mushroomhouse or level, it will let you save your progress. All in all this is on great game that I recomend to anyone looking for some fun.
Customer Rating: Summary: my all time favorite, a must have Comment: the whole reason i bought the ds, i literally played this game every night before bed and would not put it down until i beat an entire world. modern adaptation of a classic, with new enemies to conquer and koopas to defeat. highest recommendation for mario fans young and old alike.
