The DLO PodFolio for video iPod is made from hand-stitched, supple leather, features a padded protective flip cover, a leather-covered sewn-in belt clip and play-through access that allows control of video iPod without removing it from the case. The leather covered belt clip located on back can be used as a money clip as well as a hook for belts or backpack straps. Video ready iPods of all sizes slip in the leather casing and are protected on all sides from scratches, nicks and dings. A plush leather cover protects the entire front of the iPod then flip it up to reveal iPod's controls. Summary: Second One for Me
Comment: I bought this case the first time a couple of years ago finding it to be an exceptional product for its purpose. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a replacement after I wore it out from frequent, heavy duty use. Fortunately the case is still in production, so I bought a second one. They didn't cheapen the design as I feared they might. It works just as well as the first.
I like the case because:
1) It protects the screen; the case has a raised frame around the screen that keeps the reinforced lid off the screen. It protected the screen from getting scratched (not a scratch after about two years of use).
2) The case does not include a plastic film over the screen making it easy to see the screen.
3) There is also no plastic film covering the controls making it easy to operate the iPod.
4) Easy flip up lid latches with a magnet making it easy to open when needed but stays closed when expected.
5) Sturdy belt clamp keeps a tight hold on almost any type of cloth or (of course) belt. It stays put on your side (very important considering dropping anything with a hard drive inside is not a good idea).
In short, the case protects your iPod and provides easy, unhampered access to the screen and controls.

Comment: This is the second of these cases I have purchased. The first lasted for three years, and was still fine, but was scratched by my cat. Very soft leather, easy open, and the belt clip is so helpful. I would highly recommend it.

Comment: This case is the best. If I had not had it, my iPod would never have lasted this long and looked as new as it does because I have dropped my iPod many many times and it still works fine and looks fine. It looks great on my iPod so I don't take it off to much exept to charge in on my iHome alarm clock. This case is a great product.

Comment: I've had my 80 GB Classic in this thing for over a year with absolutely no problems. I take it everywhere and the case and iPod still look brand new. This thing isn't going to protect your iPod from careless abuse, but it does offer sufficient protection for ordinary use.

Comment: Well, I received an iPod for my birthday. Before this case, I have used it on and off whenever the mood for music struck me. For a long time now I've only had the pouch that came with the iPod. Ever since the pouch became dirty and brittle at the edges, I knew a replacement was needed.
This case is actually very handy. A smooth "leather" surface keeps scratches away from the iPod surface, while a weak magnet keeps the flap closed. (i think it's a magnet because other metals are attracted to it, but it hasn't interfered with my iPod nor other electronics, thus far). The hole for the touch-wheel does not diminish your game play of vortex or bejeweled. I feel safe with it at my side, and now the mood for music strikes me more often than it used to.
I can think of two things that discount the coolness of this case. One, the edges are exposed, slightly. Although, I can not think of any scenario where this would be bad, except when you are going crazy with music, thrashing the air with a your fists and your iPod. Two, the surface feels nice and smooth, but it also feels like wear-n-tear could very easily set in without due care.
All in all, a very nice case.
