Summary: awesome board but MUCH cheaper on logitech site
Comment: From the pics/description, this is the Logitech G15 version 1 (not the newer version 2 which IMO isn't as good)...
I've been looking around at various keyboards and compared to everything else out there this looks like a great board... BUT logitech site is MUCH cheaper (and yes, they have *this* version of the G15 as well as the newer version).
You can pay $125 here if you want but logitech.com is listing this for $80 and was actually the first keyboard listed. The new version of the G15 (orange backlighting and only 6 G keys) was listed farther down the page at $90. Oh and the order said it would be $0 shipping (Ground), but I'm not sure if that means free shipping or just that Logitech doesn't add shipping in until they bill you.
I'm giving it 4/5 stars because of the insane, ludicrously high $125 price on this listing... the keyboard itself is really awesome and I would give it a 5/5 if it was listed with a reasonable price.
I basing this on the following:
- This has the standard keyboard layout as opposed to those jacked-up layouts where they give you the elongated Delete key and move Insert (or other layouts where Escape is moved slightly to the right, or where it has a weird Numlock like on the Ideazon Merc Stealth).
- You have separate G-keys instead of some boards that give "fully-customizable" keys... meaning you can customize the standard 104 however you like, but you can't map it to a separate key.
- It glows in the dark and offers several modes light levels (as opposed to some boards where the light is always on). I like the backlights to be blue, but the G15 v2 has orange backlights if you like those better (and are willing to go from 18 G-keys to only 6). I saw other boards that were blue but had no game/macro keys or else had a lot less.
- Most of the other boards that had both adjustable backlighting and at least 10 macro keys also had a lot more negative reviews.

Summary: Item is different from what i ordered
Comment: The G15 series 1 similar to this picture was what i ordered. Sad to say is what was delivered to me was the smaller G15 series 2. I don't know if i can still return this as the unit is now in the Philippines. The package was delivered to my sister in law's house in Las Vegas and she brought the wrong item here in the Philippines. I already have 2 units of the G15 series 2. Such a frustration on my part...

Summary: I am gonna miss this one
Comment: First let me say I got the old version on clearance, but my entire family has it. I know that new one is out, and it has less "G" keys. Do I use them all on the one I have? NO. Most of them are not even macros, but rather used to fill in space on webpages, things like usernames, guild names, etc. There are 2 things I love, one is the blue LCD (it's VERY easy on my eyes), and the volume KNOB (I would rather have a real knob, not buttons). All and all this keyboard is worth more than what I paid, and I am still looing to buy an extra one or two till the new version offers what I want.

Summary: Fun Factor High
Comment: I really enjoy the Logitech G15: it's not just the look or the easy layout of the keys. It's also the little details--the keys spring back just right under my fingers, the multiple illuminations levels are perfect for the different conditions in which I work, and the software that lets you configure different profiles is very easy to learn. I find myself using the G15 for everything from gaming to writing to coding and not having a problem--I've got big hands and I appreciate the wide spread of the keys.
I also enjoy the LCD: the Performance Monitor is very useful to me, the Clock comes in very handy when my lights are out and I want to keep track of my late-night hours, and although I was sad at how few games support the LCD panel's features, I've been pleased to see more games added to the list with each software update.
I would definitely buy this again. I imagine the newer edition is just as good....but at the high price I had to pay for this one, imagining is all I'll be doing for a while. :)

Comment: Well this version is really not worth the price it is now i know people like this one mostly better to the newer one but there is mostly only 2 major diffrinces .

and more G keys
G15 2007
= Orange LED
and Fewer G keys
thats the major reason why ppl are complaining about the newer one.
the Newer one is better. but it would of been BETTER if it had a option to light up in 1-2 or more LED colors instead of one. will see that propbly in the newer logitech gameing keyboard
