Summary: Poor Optical Quality
Comment: The optical quality of these glasses is so poor that I cannot wear them. It's like reading through water. I think that the angle of the glasses contributes to the problem.

Summary: do these close with screws?
Comment: I ask because I need a mixed pair, i.e.; 1.25L + 1.75R so I have to buy 2 pr and swap lenses. If the frames are screwed or bolted together it's easily done. The lenses in some readers are pressed in or the frames are permanently closed. Anyone with a pair of these have an answer?

thanks!

Summary: very small "angle of view"
Comment: These are very skinny glasses. In addition, the brackets where the lenses are attached to, are a little oversized. For example the middle bracket which connects the 2 lenses is 1 3/16" wide (3 cm). That leaves me a usable lens size of 1 1/4" by 5/8" (33mm x 18mm) for each lens. I constantly have to move my head when reading on my 22" computer screen, or when reading a magazin, or do some office work.
These glasses are only usable maybe for travelling (very small and handy hard case) or as an extra one in the glove department.

Summary: Great little Light weight readers
Comment: These little lighweight reading glasses are frameless and barely there. I have them on now and usually have them on all day. They are small enough to use as what they call "half readers", which is how I use them. I can see over the tops for regular activities then simply look through the lenses as needed. Simple, efficient, good looking and a good value.

Summary: Simply Great
Comment: Much better than I thought since I have had glasses beofore with no frame around the lens like these. My other no frames always had screws come loose (I paid $250 for those)and then cracked at the screw spot. These are pretty tuff. I bought one pair and was impressed, then I dropped them and my dog pounced on them bending the crap out of them. I had dropped them before with no problems. I put them back in place with needle nose pliers and they were never quite right but still going strong and didnt scratch. I ordered another non dog attacked pair and use the pounced ones for backup and to keep in another room.
They also look good too, I am 46 and dont want to look 96.
