Summary: Pyrex puts out perfect products
Comment: Durable, ergonomic and a vital part of any kitchen. '2-cups' is such a useful size that I bought two of these. Pick up some other sizes too.
I should have bought the one with the lid. It isn't completely necessary, but would have been nice to use in the microwave.
NOTE: There are newer Pyrex measuring cups with non-slip silicone on the grip and bottom of the cup. That one would probably get 6 stars from me. :)
On the side of the cup is "microwaveable" and "Made in USA".

Summary: Excellent quality, Excellent Item
Comment: It's a measuring cup, does it job good. The reason for the review is comparing with the plastic ones, glass ones are far better.
#1 - It's easy to clean. Even if you use it to measure oil, glass cleans a lot better afterwards.
#2 - The glass is very thick, you can call it heavy duty. Bumping it on the counter or against pans, it won't just break.
#3 - The handle holds comfortablly & the cup has a pouring mouth.
A real simple item, but this one gets everything right at the reasonable price. Good buy.

Summary: Now Scared to Use
Comment: This is no longer the product our mothers used. The company no longer uses the same material that they used to, so changes in temperatures may result in shards or the item exploding in your micro. I still have one from my mother, when it was purchased in the 70s. I use it all the time to boil water in the micro. Now I am hesitant to use this new one at all in the micro. Please be careful and make sure that if you micro something in it, bring to room temperature first, and *hopefully* that will be good enough. Watch the kids around this product. Yes, it is still made in the US, but have you noticed that it is harder and harder to find quality products for any price, anywhere?

Summary: Great Size for Measuring
Comment: I love this measuring cup. It's a great size for a variety of measuring and microwaving.
Glass Pyrex measuring cups and bowls are perfect to measure your ingredients in and then just pop right in the microwave to heat up. The open handle is great to hold onto and also great to grab while removing hot ingredients out of the microwave. The handle doesn't get hot in the microwave. I have the 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup and the 8 cup measuring cups in Pyrex. They are great. I love the durable glass instead of plastic, so no worries about bacteria, odors or chemicals. They are also made in the USA.
Highly recommend. This size is the most convenient for measuring liquid ingredients. The markings are for every quarter cup and 1/3 cup up to 2 cups and are clearly marked and easy to read.
