Summary: Excellent xylophone
Comment: This is a great first musical instrument. Since it has metal pipes for the notes, the notes are quite accurate. It does require supervision with a small child since the mallets are plastic with small heads and thin handles. A little one might be able to chew through and choke on the mallet head. Also, the metal tubes could be sharp on the ends. I viewed this as secondary to the fine quality of the xylophone and the great price. It is a rhythm band instrument and therefore really made for school age children.
